Coach Casarez has always loved Northside Independent School District.  

In fact, Coach Casarez loves Northside so much that he has the entirety of his 19 years as a  professional education at Northside. 

After graduating from Northside in 1998, Coach Casarez went to Vernon College and obtained  his associate’s degree in arts. From there, he attended the University of North Texas for one semester but, due to a family issue Coach Casarez moved back to Vernon and finished out  his bachelor’s degree at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He earned his teaching certification from Wayland Baptist University. 

In 2006, he joined the family of Northside Independent School District, this time as a teacher and a coach. During his 19 years at NISD Coach Casarez has coached various sports and taught many subjects.  

One of the coolest things Coach Casarez has experienced during his tenure at Northside is that he  is now teaching the sons and daughters of the original students he has taught early on in his  teaching career. 

During his spare time Coach Casarez likes to spend time at his mother’s house, playing billiards, and collecting sports cards. 

Coach Casarez technically has one son, Christopher Ryan Casarez, a 2022 Graduate of Northside Independent School District, who is currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin, but Coach Casarez considers all his students and players to be his kids.
