Coach Whitaker is an Oklahoma native. He currently lives in Altus, OK and makes the daily  commute to work at Northside because of his confidence in what a great district Northside ISD  can be. 

Coach Whitaker is married to Vicki Whitaker and they have 3 children. 

Coach Whitaker has been a teacher for 18 years, over that time he has experience teaching a  variety of subjects. Math, Science, and History are what he has spent the majority of his career  teaching. 

Coach Whitaker is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s  degree in secondary education. 

Coach Whitaker attended Navajo High School north of Altus, Oklahoma graduating in 2002. 

Matthew Whitaker has coached and assisted with many sports through the years and is eager to  learn a new system and help athletes and students develop good communication skills and  teamwork through their extra-curricular activities that they will benefit from the rest of  their lives.
