TECHNOLOGY INCLUDING ALL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Northside ISD provides students with Desktop and Laptop computers for educational purposes only. The Administration will be authorized the right to access any computer and check history and for any downloaded programs.
I understand that when using a school computer it is my responsibility to use the computer for educational purposes only and I agree not to access any outside internet programs such as Facebook, My Space, Personal E-Mail, Video Games, Music and/or Program Downloads.
I also agree to take care of the computer and not harm or destroy it in any way.
Upon agreeing to the policy and approval of the Superintendent or designee, a student account will be setup and access to the network granted. Students will receive a system account for use on computers.
Any system user identified as a security risk or having violated the District’s computer use guidelines may be denied access to the District’s system. The Administration will deny, revoke, or suspend specific user accounts, with or without cause or notice, for violations of network regulations.
All personal electronic communication devices are not permitted and the same consequences could result in use of these devices.
I understand the consequences will include any disciplinary actions from Student Handbook and could also result in being banned from any use of the computers.
