Parent Involvement Opportunity Planned
At Northside we try in a variety of ways to give parents an opportunity to be involved. We will start off the year with the annual Meet the teacher night on August 16. At this time you can meet your child's teachers and find out their expectations for your child in their class. We also have Meet the Indians on August 28. At that time our athletes from junior high to high school get to be in the spotlight. Our Kindergarten parents even have their time. On the first day of school we have a brunch for them after they drop off their little ones at school.
Throughout the year we have parent visitation, Fall Festival, Homecoming PTO dinner, Relay for Life , Community Thanksgiving Dinner, class parties, programs like the elementary Christmas program, Veterans day program and awards programs. We also offer organizations for parents to become involved with, like PTO and Booster Club. Parents can also be involved by volunteering to serve on selected school committees. If you are interested in being on one of these committees please contact Mrs. Riggins.
We at Northside hope that you will see the importance of being involved in all different kinds of activities at your child's school.
